– and our May issue

We hope that you are safe and well, and that your church is getting used to the new-normal, despite the vast number of us who currently have got Covid!

Tragically, the war and suffering in Ukraine continues, and so again this month we offer you various stories on reactions to the war. Look out for the Ukraine Appeal, and John Rutter’s new work based on a Ukrainian prayer.

May also brings us Ascension, and we have several articles explaining its place in the Gospel story.

Also, look out for the new feature under Holy Days.  We have started to provide the list of Sundays of the month.  Does this help you?  We would welcome your comments!

Finally, we would encourage you to simply keep going in these troubled times. Your church needs your continued commitment and enthusiasm!

We think that the following verses from the New Testament could be an inspiration for anyone producing a church magazine:

Galatians 6:9

Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.

Colossians 4:5-6

Be wise in the way you act toward outsiders; make the most of every opportunity. Let your conversation be always full of grace, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how to answer everyone.

Don’t become weary, make the most of every opportunity, let your writing be full of grace…remember your aim is to reap a harvest, to bear witness to the wonderful gospel of Jesus Christ, our ascended Lord.

May God bless you and guide you this month as you prepare the next issue of your magazine.

Warm wishes
